Dr. Kim was wonderful as well as her staff! My little Harley, who is 14, needed eye surgery and came through with flying colors. The girls at the front desk are so welcoming and friendly as well. If I didn't live so far away, I'd make them Harley's permanent doctors. Thank you to everyone. Even the cleaning people were friendly. ☺️

Dr. Pintar and the entire veterinary team truly saved my dog’s life, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the care, compassion, and dedication they showed during one of the scariest experiences our family has ever faced. My dog was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure and had to be hospitalized for a full week. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Pintar and the staff treated her as if she were their own. They immediately jumped into action, explaining every step of the treatment plan and making sure we understood what was happening and what the next steps would be. Even though the situation was incredibly serious, they gave us hope while also being honest and supportive throughout the entire process. During the week she was hospitalized, the level of care she received was truly above and beyond. The staff constantly monitored her, kept us updated, and made sure she was comfortable and cared for at all times. What meant the most to me was how compassionate everyone was—not just toward my dog, but toward us as worried pet parents. They were patient with all of our questions and always took the time to reassure us. One thing that really stood out was that they allowed me to visit my dog every day while she was in the hospital. Being able to see her, spend time with her, and know she wasn’t alone made such a difference during such a stressful time. It showed how much they truly care about the emotional well-being of both their patients and their owners. When she was finally strong enough to come home after a week, the support didn’t stop there. The team even called to check up on her after we brought her home to make sure she was continuing to improve and to see if we needed anything. That level of follow-up care and genuine concern is something you rarely see anymore, and it meant the world to us. As soon as we walked into those doors they treated my cat like he was one of their own. They helped him, loved him, and nurtured him in the way he needed in that present time. My cat had a diabetic seizure and they made me feel really good about the procedures they did for my cat. Everybody there was so sweet and we absolutely loved the doctor and techs that were working that night. The doctor explained everything to us so we understood step by step what was going on. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody!!! Everybody that was there was an amazing team the love they gave my cat was incredible! GIZMO says thank you for making him feel better

My dogs mean everything to my family. Tyson our sweet (senior) pittie was recently diagnosed having a large mass in his spleen. In addition to that, he was found to have multiple tumors in his testicles. Needless to say, we went through it for a week or so riddled with worry about our fur baby. Thankfully, not only is he tumor free, he’s recovering extremely well and that’s all thanks to this amazing veterinary hospital. From start to finish we were well taken care of, esp. our Tyson boy. We were communicated with throughout the entire process and we were met with such dedication and kindness. It was as if our boy was being taken care of by family. The front desk staff is absolutely amazing. When you bring your fur baby into a place to be seen for things that are his severe, the whole experience can be unnerving. The front desk staff was incredibly kind, answered as many questions as possible and deferred when necessary. I never felt like we were burdening anyone during our many phone calls and check ins and they always made sure to give us updates and check in regularly. Front desk, all of you were great!! Medical staff, was just as wonderful. Nurses, techs and doctors. When visiting our doggo after surgery, we were so nervous and basically a wreck having to leave him there overnight. Once they brought Tyson into the exam room, it was evident that they grew a connection with him in the short time he was there. He almost didn’t even care that we were there to see him and what hyper focused on getting back to his new friends (the medical staff and front desk receptionists). Upon pick up, he actually needed to go on a farewell tour with the staff. Not only was he completely okay after, but he was well taken care of and dare I say, happy to be there?! We’ve received check ins post surgery and easy access to our questions being answered among other things. This place it truly wonderful and I would recommend anyone to go here. The Vets and staff took wonderful care of my cat. Everyone did their best to help my very sick cat and we are so happy that she is home now! Especially, tech Vanessa. She was very friendly & helpful and answered all my questions as I came in daily to visit and during the discharge of my cat. It put me at ease to know my sweet kitty was in good hands all week!

I went for my pet Luna as she has a growth on her right eye and I was scheduled to see Dr. Kay Kim. I felt fortunate that GSVS has an optomologist of her caliber! She examined Luna and found a secondary condition of dry eye. We scheduled surgery and she prescribed drops that are working rather nicely and her eyes have improved from the cloudy discharge she was experiencing. Dr. Kim was extremely empathetic and caring. Do not let Dr. Kim go somewhere else!

Words cannot express our gratitude for the phenomenal care that was given to our dog Bowie. He had gotten extremely ill the Saturday before the blizzard this year. We brought him to Garden State Veterinary early Saturday morning. We were immediately addressed and brought into an exam room. Dr Hoover was on service that day. Dr. Hoover , Dr.Navarro and the entire staff worked on Bowie to get him feeling better. From the technicians to the doctors to the front desk customer care representatives there was not one moment that someone wasn't updating us and taking care of our boy. It was a whole new level of care for us. We will be forever grateful to you all. Bowie is doing much better and is on the mend. Almost back to normal. We only wish you had normal vet services because you'd be our choice. If anyone needs emergency care or speciality care for their fur babies this the place to go.

Brought our dog Maggie for a torn CCL in her right rear. We met with Doctor Murphy, who is a surgeon. I’m sure Doc Murphy sees this type of injury every day. Doctor Murphy examined Maggie, explained all the options very clearly, carefully, precisely and with dignity, respect and professionalism. It wasn’t just another torn CCL to Doctor Murphy. We choose the TPLO surgery. Doctor Murphy is an unbelievable surgeon. She (Doc Murphy) is so skilled. We are in about week 11 or Maggie’s recovery. Maggie is doing great thanks to Doctor Murphy and almost fully recovered and is back to long walks and stairs (very carefully). We have just a few weeks left and then Maggie can do all the things she always did. GSVS is so clean, all the staff are amazing, caring and Doctor Murphy is a great surgeon and person. We highly recommend GSVS and Doctor Murphy.

Our 18yr/o cat woke up with an emergecy so I decided to bring her to this location. I am honestly so happy I did. Dr. Greg Levine is so amazing, compassionate, patient, empathic, & more. He was so easy to deal with and made a very difficult decision a little less difficult. He answered all my questions and was not rushed to move on the the next person even though there was a lot going on outside of our room.We ended up putting our baby to sleep. Everyone here was amazing. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our baby girl. I had family come to spend time as well. The staff could not have been more accomodating. It was a very unexpected and difficult day, but everything went smoothly. I would not hesitate to use them or recommend. They also offer 3 types of payment plans if you do not have the funds up front. The price was lower than I was expecting. Dr. Levine - I did not get to see you before we all left. But, thank you so much. You are an asset to this place. <3

My local vet referred me here when my dog was not improving after a suspected disc injury. I was able to get a neurologist appointment the same day I called. The vet was great about explaining symptoms and ways to determine the root cause. We ended up meeting with both neurologists on staff and both of them were excellent. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and I never felt rushed or pushed toward a higher cost decision. The empathy, compassion and genuine care for animals I experienced here is wonderful. Everyone we interacted with was kind and friendly. Big call out to the front desk though for checking us in (twice) and always being so polite, empathetic and efficient in the face of so much! This review is not tied to the outcome of our situation, as it’s ongoing. While we don’t know exactly what the future holds, we are grateful for the care received here and hopeful for more progress!
